I'm hearing from my sources that the work on younkers is for the future movie theater.  Also, DSW (Direct Shoe Warehouse - I think that's what it stands for) will be opening a store in westroads.

I actually used to work for the company doing the drilling.  A job like that will take 100 to 150 wells.  They do residential to.  It's quite expensive to get a geothermal system in a residential property, that's why a lot of people are not doing it yet, but it does pay off rather quickly.

The wife and I were at Crossroads last weekend, and I was thinking to myself that Crossroads really does have a lot of potential. It is a decent looking mall. It's just empty! They just have to go after the right tenants. If Simon has any clue at all they should be able to get things going again.

I just talked to my sister who's worked at Charleston's for 8ish years and she said she doesn't think their is any truth to them opening another Charleston's in Omaha. They are going to do a small expansion to the existing location, but hasn't heard anything about a new location.

Why would you have the NU at CU series anywhere but Rosenblatt? It's a huge money maker, and if Creighton can make some noise in the post season then maybe they could get a lot of the bandwagon fans that are "Husker Baseball Fans" right now.

If you do deal directly with the sellers agent just remember unless the agent discloses that he will work with you as a dual agent (and maybe not even then) then his obligation is to get the seller the most money possible and has no obligation to you other than to properly help fill out paper work ...

For those that are interested in expanding their own knowlege base, I think UNO offers a course in Omaha's History. When I was there it was offered over the summer...not sure if that's still the case now. (Out of ALL the history courses I took...I can't believe that i never got around to taking it....
