Cutting off Old Cheney would be like cutting off Q Street when I-80 was first built. Most people thought I and L Streets would be the busy streets. They were right about L, but not I. Q ended up having more traffic.

Cutting off Old Cheney will add traffic to Warwick and Pioneers. And that would be particularly bad for Pioneers because it's only 2 lanes.

And now they lost 11-2 today. Not good.

Old Cheney’s kind of an important road in that area. Lots of drivers use it daily. I don’t think they’ll want to have to drive all the way up to Pioneers Blvd or down to Warlick. So yes, an overpass is necessary. And I’m not the only one who thinks that.

They're finally going to complete converting US 77 into a full freeway next year. Personally, I think they should've done it years ago when they first built it. This is not the final plan. My best guess is because of the L Street interchange being a cloverleaf one and most cloverleaf interchanges have collector/distributor roads. Well, like I said before I-80 was widened in that area in the late 90’s, that section was totally straight.

Well, I just never saw the need for it. The terrain there certainly isn't unstable. And I don't think I-80 would be less safe if that "kink" wasn't there. No offense, but I will take the word of the guy associated with this kind of work who can cite regulatory requirements, over feelings…...

Well, UConn did it again. They won the national championship for the second year in a row.

Take notice that the K in the K Mart logo is the same from the 90's. It just doesn't have "mart" written in cursive inside it. And ShopKo's 1975 logo uses the colors the 1991 logo used.

I admit I wish they had changed their logos to this in the early 90's.

Somebody just uploaded new pictures of Oak View Mall on Google Maps and I took a look at them. The former Younker's wing is pretty much deserted. But the Dillard's wing is still hanging in there.

Other than that, things aren't looking so good for Oak View.

That hump is one big obstacle. The one that Nebraska just can't seem to get over. I don't know why.
