Re: NuStyle Redevelops Wells Fargo Center
Being a big fan of architecture and design, I get some of the comments, although this style of architecture is currently popular among builders in quite a few American cities. Given the cost of construction, it is what is available at a somewhat cost effective level. Personally, I see nothing wrong ...

Re: Urban Grocery Store
A while back. two managers at Hy-vee told me they were waiting to see how the Des Moines store would do once open before deciding to do a downtown Omaha store. With the Des Moines store open and hopefully, successful, they very well may be looking for a downtown Omaha location. With the Chamber of C...

Re: Tetrad Development (Civic Auditorium)
When the demolition of a structure takes place, such as that of the Civic, does anyone know the fate of the materials, such as the bricks, concrete, and metals? Do they sort through the material and then reuse it? Insight would be helpful. All of the debris is sorted out. Metals have been hauled aw...

Re: Burlington Postal Annex (across from station)
Boyd told the World Herald that 30,000 square feet of space has been leased in this building. They would not say who, as the tenant wants to make their own announcement. Good news!

Re: Tetrad Development (Civic Auditorium)
Oh, and there has been a tiny bit of demo here. There was a smoke stack on the back of the building. It was knocked over a few weeks ago, and hauled away.

Re: Tetrad Development (Civic Auditorium)
There seems to be a lot of negativity as to whether any project will eventually be built here. Don't forget that one of the partners of this project is NuStyle Development. I have never known Todd to commit to a project and then walk away from it. How what gets constructed there resembles the origin...

Re: Development of North Downtown
The North Downtown study had some maps of proposed land use. I am not sure if it can be found online or not. The city paid for an "official" study of the potential use for North Downtown, so I would think a copy of it is somewhere.

Re: 16th Street Master Plan
Trees were planted late last week in both the Harney to Farnam section, as well as the new FNB section between Dodge and Douglas. They are 5-6 feet tall and have one or two branches on each. I would beg the city to consider different benches, if they are planned for the Orpheum block. In almost ever...

Former Great Plains Energy Building 19th & Capitol
I may be wrong, but I have not seen a seperate thread for this project. Â The former Great Plains Energy building at 19th and Capitol was purchased by NuStyle, and has been undergoing interior demolition and asbestos removal for a month or two now. Â The plans are for more downtown apartments.
