60th & Hartman Construction
Anybody know what's being built up there at 60th & Hartman - near Sorensen Parkway? Â Looks to be pretty huge, as in NOT some houses.

I drove through Florence today. The renovations are looking nice. Yep, they're coming along nicely (I hit up the Florence Zesto recently). The one major obstacle for Florence, is that they HAVE TO get the heavy truck traffic diverted off North 30th Street. There is nothing cool about sitting on a...

yawn. I'm glad they're throwing money and pretty sidewalks at us and all, but Florence is beyond |expletive| and I don't see it helping. I thought you loved Florence? I do, but I recognize its faults and know that a pretty little rehab won't help it and it will never become dundee or benson because...

didn't this all happen already about two years ago and absolutely nothing happened? I remember hearing something a couple years ago. Â If I remember right, the rumor was that Buckey's was going to build a big C-Store. That area SHOULD be good for some sort of development, being right across the str...

It's been doing that for a while now. It will shake out somehow or another. Advertising revenue will drop as online viewers drop. Â The World Herald better figure things out. Â You can charge an extra $50 per month for advertising IF you have an increasing viewer base. Â But if that base is declini...

They've been predicting the demise of the paper newspaper for years. Obviously more people including me consume news online nowadays, but I don't see the newspaper completely going away. Exactly. Â NewsPAPER is now an inaccurate name. Â NewsSOURCE would probably be a little better. Â But it's the s...

This makes the OWH purchase make a little more sense. Far be it from me to question Warren B's investment wisdom, but I would think that in this day and age, traditional print news media would be an incredibly poor choice! Unless, of course, the price was a Could Not Refuse type of thing. Today's...

Right. Â But now that Lucky Bucket is getting going, it might be a good time to snatch up a downtown, or North Downtown location, and give it a whirl. I'd think Lucky Bucket could do a great micro-brewery/pub in the downtown or North Downtown area. Â They've got a fine product, and people would be happy to support "the hometown boys."nebport5 wrote:So a brewery is going in here? We saw him when he was here a couple years ago on some random Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, the funniest thing was when he closed with his classic dentist office bit. He's going through the motions at best. 20 years ago, he was arguably the single funniest man in show biz. Â I absolutely love...

Pizza Ranch on 84th & Center?
Couldn't find it it "search" so I'll just post it. Â Mods, merge this if need be.
Is the Pizza Ranch near 84th & Center open yet? Â If it's open, is it good? Â I've been to several Pizza Ranches in Iowa, and love their buffet. Â If this location is open, is the restaurant good?
