I feel like I'm getting out of prison! haha There is a local publication here, called the 'New Times', and the current cov...

As exciting as this project is, I find myself rolling my eyes at the prospect of another Younkers or VonMaur, although it probably isn't realistic, it would be nice to get a department store anchor that is unique to the area, like Macy's. Macy's isn't what it used to be, but it would be a fresh face...

I have to agree that I don't think Lincoln should be included in Omaha's population....that's almost misleading.....especially since there is such a long stretch of open farmland between the two cities, it's not like there's an urban sprawl that stretches from one to the other....it gets very rural ...

Keeping in mind Grand Island's boom occurred when urban development was 'in'. All of Bellevue's growth has come in the 'suburban' era. You can see the same situation on a larger scale in southwestern cities like Phoenix and Tucson which have seen exploding growth only relatively recently. .....Yes,...

There is something called 'Skag Drag', which is a hideous spoof of drag queens, and was quite popular in Omaha....so that might have been who/what you saw, sometimes they're not really trying, except to be funny. DEFINITELY Gay friendly Omaha....
This will undoubtedly make the conservatives on here cringe, but, I was very surprised to see that Omaha was listed in the 'Top Gay Prides to Attend in 2005'. According to Echo Magazine, a local Phoenix gay publication, Omaha is in the ranks of San Diego, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, Montreal,...

Estimated Omaha population growth....
I noticed that the 2000 census population for Omaha was around 390,000, and the 2003 estimate was at 404,000, so that's 14,000 in 3 years....at that pace is it safe to say that by 2010 the city population will be around 430,000?? I wonder how much the metro pop will grow....which grows quicker, Omah...
