Re: Daylight savings time
I'm just saying, if you love having daylight after work, leave the clock alone and go into work an hour early?... or would the shoe be on the other foot? I would bet so. Imagine you work at 6am on Monday, and your employer tells you no, no, you work at 5 now, no questions asked. I dare say that mos...

Re: UNO Hockey 2023-2024
UNO still has a chance at Home Ice in the playoffs. Going in to this final weekend, they can finish anywhere between 4th and 6th. The Baxter better be rocking this weekend. Home ice is dicey at best. Have to sweep NoDak in regulation, (No overtimes or shootouts.) then have Denver sweep Colorado Col...

Re: Oak View Mall (144 & West Center Rd)
I think the beginning of the downturn of Oak View was when Champps Americana went belly-up due to a corporate reorganization. It was always packed on Friday and Saturday nights, and people frequently went shopping if they had a 45 minute wait. Village Point didn't help matters either.

I think there's three camps... The Elon Musk disciples with a cult-like following, and then EV fans in general. The disciples are the ones who will not tolerate any criticism of electric vehicles (or crypto, for that matter). Personally, I think EV's seem great except for long road trips. Turning 5/...

I wouldn't be surprised if Eppley got expanded again years from now. Maybe something like this? I know it's stupid and unrealistic and more than likely won't ever happen, but I thought I'd try it anyway. If they were to do it, they'd have to close up a couple of runways and build new ones several f...

Wow, that's a cool photo. Can you tell what vantage point it's taken from? So was there ...

But yeah, I like to stick my "what-if" thoughts regarding Crossroads. Like what if they had a Macy's there instead of another Younker's since Westroads had one? Or when they underwent that major extension in the 80's, they also extended their second floor above the original ground level o...

Actually, Chili's was pretty good up until the last couple of years or so. Burgers were good, and their chicken tenders were great until they redid their recipe. And the last time, the price had skyrocketed. They used to have a "2 for $25" special that got you two large orders of chicken s...

I get the complaint about the price of the little fries...but when we go to Five Guys, we order the regular fries for the whole family. And we never pay for a pop.
