I don't believe this is the dumbest thing I've ever read. In fact, I think it's a very solid argument and it does have logic to it. I'm from Lincoln, and I really enjoy the growth and momentum the city is experiencing right now. I also love Omaha just the same (probably one of the few Lincolnites to...

This is just the first phase of the West Haymarket Redevelopment. They are already doing environmental clean up work on old industrial sites south of the Overpass to be ready for the next phase of development. These next 5-10 years could be pretty exciting.

So it has been dubbed 'the candy box' and if you look at each piece of chocolate you'll notice they have images of the states' strengths. You'll notice the state capitol, a diploma, a picture of president Lincoln which the city was named after. You will also notice a locomotive, because it used to b...

Agreed. Does anyone know how much T.I.F. was allocated towards WST? $35,000,000 is a very large T.I.F. package, and I wouldn't be surprised if it is revised for a smaller amount. Noone argues the demand and need for this project. This could be a destination for OYPs which is growing at a rapid pace ...

Lots of activity in the Haymarket right now. Canopy Lofts are very far along and it looks like they are beginning to start the brick exterior. The 'Railyard' is also very far along and it seems they are just about finished laying all of the steel for the entire thing. It looks like all the footings ...

It seems that all the tenant spaces for the LPS headquarters redevelopment have filled up. Whole Foods was announced the anchor tenant last summer, but now joining them is another Chipotle, Select Comfort (Minneapolis-based mattress company), Massage Envy (Scottsdale-based massage and spa), and JoS ...

There is another tower crane up in the Haymarket. Directly south of the Harris Overpass at 7th and O Street they put together what looks like a 150 ft tower crane. There will be a 4-story 500-stall garage. Connected to the garage will be a 6-story residential liner building, with 5 floors of apartme...

This is a pretty big deal. The mayor and city issued an IFRP this last may for a 6-acre site just southeast of downtown around 21st and L St. The plan called for a redevelopment of the underutilized area and 4 companies submitted by the Nov. 1st deadline. Check out this article and it'll better expl...

Sadly, they have yet to announce the groundbreaking of the Breslow Ice Center. The grading you saw was simply for the pedestrian bridge and future parking lots. However, The entire project has been financed. I think they are still deciding on the final location of the center, even though officials h...
