Re: Massive Fire - Nox-Crete, 1415 S 20th St.
I find it disingenuous and irresponsible that not one city official (OFD spox excepted) has provided any information on the toxicity of the chemicals and any possible harm to the public. I would think Nox-Crete would have an inventory of those chemicals and what the levels of toxicity they have. Sha...

Oh my! I remember looking at the penthouse of the Satellite Motel from Ryan. That is the same view that the new Buena Vista (means beautiful view) High School has! Some things never change! BTW the name banner for the new school is up.

This morning, one our cats was screaming at the back door. We thought it was the stray cat that often comes by, but NO, it was a full size possum sitting on the top step looking into the house!

Re: Eagles- “Hotel California” tour 9/28/21-
We went to the concert. Our 4th time seeing the Eagles, first without Glenn Frey. Harmonies were outstanding and with Don Henley, 74 and totally white hair, Timothy B Schmitt & Joe Walsh both 73 they are still as awesome as they ever were. As for Vince Gill, when you get to heaven, his voice is ...

Re: Another Westroads Shooting
I thought I had heard about some youths on the Penny's parking garage rooftop with a rifle recently too. I can't find any link to it though. But the 3 shootings are definitely a problem. There were several armed parties breaking into cars. OPD got a couple still on the garage roof parking and then ...

Seems to me like the same person who's worried about getting caught in the crossfire of gang violence would also be turned off by the sight of a copper toting an M4 walking the aisles of the mall. Personally, I'd love to see it and nip this problem in the bud. But at the same time, I feel like more...

I can't believe the location at 54th & L hasn't closed. It's the closest to us, but if we want VI, we go to 108th or 78th & Dodge. The L street store has the worst service and surliest wait staff.

I though I saw one in the westroads in December? Haven't been to Westroads in a while. The DQ near DSW had an Orange Julius. The couple that owned it (and the one at Oakview) were sinking under high rent-7k a month-that's a lot of Blizzards! At any rate they closed Oakview and within a couple month...

Honestly, I wish them a happy retirement. I went several times after their last menu change and it had slipped a lot. Don’t think that I will miss it. From my own experience, rebuilding from a fire happens at a snail's pace. Inspections for each step, separate for electrical and plumbing and framing and if they have to replace the HVAC yet another. Plus everything has to be up to current code, which costs lots of extra money and time. Then the tra...
