Re: Dillards at Oakview closing!

This would be horrible, for Oakview Mall, for Omaha, and for those of us who enjoy shopping at Dillard's. I worked at Oakview for a while up until last January, and GGP who owns the mall wont spend a penny on the place. Furthermore, Todd, the GM of the mall, always told me that Oakview was in great...

Dillards at Oakview closing!

I just heard from two long time Dillards employees that their location is on the way out. They have each been at Dillards for 5+ years and they said they have found new jobs because they received the word early. With this being the only Dillards in Omaha, I see it as the only thing keeping Oakview o...

Does anybody have photos inside of the old Richman Gordmans on 90th?

I was talking about that particular location with some coworkers today and I remember there was a play area in either the NE or SE corner of the store where they had a small slide. I was only like 5 when that location closed, but thats what I remember from it. Id love to see some interior photos and...

Further east--in the middle of the strip. There's a groc store of some sort where Baker's used to be.

The majority of the old Bakers is Mega Market and a gym.

Yes they are. Woodhouse will own it, and they're building it on L next to Alfa. Very exciting news for this market. Next up is likely Bentley, Lamborghini, or McLaren. Ferrari remains a long-shot IMO. I think all of those makes would be pretty far fetched for Omaha. You would need serious spenders ...

Omaha elevation/photography question

What is the highest point you can physically stand on to take an aerial photograph of any part of Omaha?  Is it the roof of the FNB building, or is there another building, on top of some hill, that is actually higher in elevation?
