Doh.  I hadn't heard about this.  I like the current structure because of the coloured lights at night.
Not sure what you meant by that?  They wouldn't be tearing down anything taller than 2 stories.  Just adding to the skyline, making it better ;)

I don't believe any of the tunnels went there.  When I worked at UP, we had to walk that last block to the building outside to get there meetings, if we otherwise took the tunnels.

Hey guys, I just wanted to give a quick thanks to all the updates on this project.  As someone who used to work in that building, I'm glad I get to see what's happening to it.  Since I no longer live in Omaha, I can't view it myself.  Again, thank you for all the updates and photos!

My morning commute takes me right next to the new stadium on the on ramp to 394, which goes next to, and right under all the construction.  They started pouring concrete today, and the trucks had huge Twins logos on the side.  It was kinda cool.  I'll throw a camera in tomorrow and see if I can g...

Twin Cities Rail

Looks like the Light Rail from Downtown Minneapolis to Downtown St. Paul is actually going to take off.  All parties (St. Paul, Minneapolis, Ramsay County, Hennepin County, and the University of Minnesota) compromised to come up with a working solution.  Sounds like the exact opposite of what's ha...

I've been to New York several times, and in my opinion, the best way to waste your trip is to go to the tourist sites.  Go where locals go and not where tourists go.  You can spend 6 hours in line for the Statue of Liberty, and that's not an exaggeration.  If you want to see the Statue, take a wa...

Why are condos downtown so expensive?  The answer is quite simple... because people are willing to pay that much.   I lived in the Old Market for over 5 years before moving to downtown Minneapolis.  I would love to have my Old Market rent back.  I pay $1400/month in rent for a 1 bedroom with no ...
