Ha. I saw 11 minutes and thought to myself, "No way am I going to stick through this for 11 minutes." However, once it started, I couldn't stop watching all the way to the exclamation point with the closing credits. Obviously, I am easily impressed.

Put me in the Don Carmelo's group too. Although, I have only been to the one in Elkhorn. More than 20 years as a patron. In my top tier. So yes, to each their own. Keeps the lines from getting too darn long at any one place.

Sort of surprised by the level of skepticism or cynicism if these are the right words. I don't always express my views here because I feel like I am often the cynic. My view on this one, for whatever it's not worth, is that this is a very important development. It is one of the grains of sand needed...

I went to the West Maple location last week during lunch hour. They were steady but not what I would call busy. I ordered Detour Style but didn’t receive it. Burgers were dry and almost flavorless. If I was driving through a rural area, was starving and the only option was this place, I would be oka...

Thanks for posting about Top Gun for $5. My wife and I went to see it last night and agree the Screen X experience was cool. Very glad we saw it again. But how sad to see these theaters so empty. The parking lot was a ghost town. I felt a little unsure if my car would be safe all alone in the very d...

Some random thoughts: The OWH story cited 22 gates with the ability to expand as part of the plan. Our $950 million may not be comparable to the $1.5 billion at MCI due to the inflation that has occurred since their project. Underground tunnel comment above if I understood it correct: Not sure if t...

The Hilton/Red Lion/Doubletree has long been a point of contention. Since its construction there has been repeated expression of support for either tearing the hotel ...

I don't have the answer, but I do know I mentioned quite a while ago (10+ years or so) that I thought the suburbs would one day become the lower income parts of the city. Still hard to say that difinitively now, but you kinda see subtle signs. Poor apartment management, older vehicles, aging, under...

Don’t take this as criticism, but more of a FYI. Yes, you can find restaurants in México that serve menu items akin to a “Gringo Burrito”, covered in creamy cheese. Sort of surprised I gave the impression I needed an FYI. I wasn't intending to compare east of I-680 to west Omaha let alone compariso...

Its absolutely possible. China built a 57 story building in 19 days.
It was seeming pretty improbable though. North America just builds slower for so many reasons.

Not denying that we all need to do much better with litter. I don't get it either. But some of it is windblown from dumpsters, accidents, etc. So this part of the litter chain needs better management too.
