Oh, that's sad. I really don't get there much anymore but its sad to see a local store close.
Guess I better use my gift card ASAP!

Re: 2024 Weather Thread
my worry is straight line winds and hail. Is this gonna be more of a rain maker and thunder (aside from tornado risk) or will we have possible large hail There will definitely be the potential for damaging wind and large/very large hail - especially with any supercells that develop. I was noticing ...

However, they are receiving incentives that under "normal" circumstances other developers wouldn't receive. For example if someone wants to redevelop some farm land along 220th & Dodge they likely would never qualify for TIF, correct? Or, Village Pointe, etc? I do understand no one is...

Re: The Crossroads (72 & Dodge)
Just a reminder how TIF Actually works.... No Money is ever handed out. The city is not writing checks to deveopers. Also, if the developer doesn't do anything, they don't get any of the TIF Benefit. In Omaha, TIF is developer-financed. This means that the project owner/developer secures the funding...

The city should cut a check to buy the land back. Buy it back? Unlike other "failed" projects in downtown, this project has never been owned by the city, its always been in private hands. The city is not a developer. The City owns the Civic site because they owned the arena that was on th...

It wasn't as big of a deal when 77 was built. Now with all the money spent on the new Highway 2, its way more important to have that section of 77 built up to freeway standards.
