Just build a regular PC. and install OSX on it. and, oops! mac! One caveat, only intel and nvidia cards only. no ATI no AMD. but eh, osx86 is pretty fun. Currently, on this old warbird PC of mine I run Gentoo Linux and OSX86 and they love each other. And this wasn't a mac, this was actually an old d...

And to answer your question about tipping others Coyote...the only one I can think of off the top of my head is hotel maids. I always leave a buck or two on the pillow when I leave the room in the morning and maybe a 5 on the morning I check out. Do you tip ( or gift at the holidays) the mailman, n...

western conference teams are VERY far apart. Eastern Conference..they are very close. I think Wayne Gretzky said it best, when he said something to the effect of, he should of moved to the Eastern Conference sooner, in the Western Conference you are traveling all the time, but in the East, you are u...

Whatever Amtrak does, I can only hope that high speed rail is in their plans. IIRC, a friend of mine from San Francisco told me that they are planning a high speed rail system that will link every major city from Sacramento to San Diego. To put the implications of this into perspective a trip from S...

Ah, I just hope that the streetcar system doesn't turned into something only by tourists, but embraced by everyone and used as a mean of public transport, that's the one fear I have for the thing. Other than that, I am very excited, it's just, hopefully after this streetcar system gets built, the ci...

I believe Frederic Bastiat said it best...
I'll pull the exact quote sooner or later, but Bastiat has said that any person who expects government to give something but also expect government to lower taxes is giving government more power than it should, it also is giving government a role that it should not have. for someone to expect govern...

No, Antiquarium is something unique: Independent, locally owned record stores. I think its time to budget if you are living paycheck to paycheck. And maybe get rid of that SUV, get a jaloopy, put down some money for a college fund for your kids, etc. Honestly, on 150,000 dollars, a good budget plan, in about 20 or so years when you retire, you would already have a good nestegg...

The North Central Conference is folding.
As I was reading in a paper.
I was hearing that the NCC (what UNO plays in) is playing its last season in 2007-2008.
SO! does this mean that UNO is moving up to Division 1?
or is it still staying in division II (the last remaining schools in NCC are all trying to move up to D-1)
