Re: Proposed Justice Center at 18th and Harney- 10 stories
The proposal to renovate the ASB is from the owner of the building and is being advocated by those who wish to preserve the building. This proposal is completely unrelated to the board's plans for the block. It appears to be an effort to prove that there are active efforts to rehab the building, and...

This is turning into quite the |expletive| show. Frankly I'd be okay if they scrapped these plans and started over. Plus, the current larger Youth Detention Center was just built in the late 1990s. Don't know the cost but I'd guess it was in the $15-20 million range. PLUS they're going to raze yet ...

Regency and many newer suburbs aren't laid out with convoluted street patterns because designers wanted them to look pretty. It's to keep people out who don't live there. That's the significance of the lack of access points.

Interesting to me that Catholic Health Initiatives is sponsoring an arena. They are supposed to be a non-profit, right? So are Centris FCU and SAC FCU and they do sponsorships locally as well. Greg Not nearly as high profile of sponsorships, and I'm guessing, not nearly as costly. And, CHI just too...

Also, Omaha builds Central Park and commissions twin office buildings to anchor the west end of it. Fast forward 30-40 years, and the park is being filled in and the twin buildings blocked -- like their aesthetic appeal is "old news" now. A downtown campus is allowed to be built, then hal...

I saw it in the newspaper. It cannot be a serious attempt at naming a whole sector of the city. If I can meet whomever thought of that name, I'd look at them in the eye, and slap 'em. A sorry attempt that is. Park East is better and that's saying a lot. She did not take credit for it on the show, b...

I never know how to read a young player being repeatedly traded.
