If a person lives at 132nd & Center and they want to go to 132nd & Dodge by bus they are screwed. They got to take the bus down center to 72nd and get off the bus and take the next bus down to 72nd & Dodge and get off the bus and then take the next bus up Dodge to 132nd. The person has ...

That said, this was Omaha's last chance at a corp high rise building, so there's that too. Oh well. From a homegrown company who could slap their name atop a tower, probably. But otherwise I disagree. Omaha will need to work harder and foster a positive environment and retain talent. We say we want...

What are the odds the Kiewett plan is taking the streetcar as "going to pass right by" 14th and Mike Fahey? The potential line would run right past their current properties on Farnam, which does raise some interesting possibilities. Though, I don't ever see the Blackstone Hotel ever getti...

Anyone who thinks there will be more than 7-10 floors for this is crazy. But, as much as I would love another signature skyscraper for the city, NDT is not the place. A tower would be very out of place here. The piece on KETV was good, but mad props to Kiewit for working with the owners of TSR - the...

Glad Kiewit is committed to Omaha, no doubt about that, and the location is a lock given their training center. Given the immensity of Kiewit I'm sure this will spur supportive development for traveling associates and the food-seeking corporate lunch crowd. But I'm also a bit skeptical this will spu...

New Fortune 500 list announced. Obviously only 4 in the city now. 5 other companies in the top 1000, but only two seemingly could get us back to 5 over the next decade. Green Plains ranked 662 and TD Ameritrade ranked 674. Both of those could very well grow to be Fortune 500. I wonder where TD Amer...

Sadly, it is good quality office space available for lease. Definitely not the repurposing we hope for, but occupancy affects the whole of downtown/midtown and if this space isn't available, maybe that will spur another company to find an innovative downtown solution.
