Re: Pedestrian Tunnels and Overpasses

There was a great article not too long ago in the OWH. It talks about the underpasses and overpasses in Omaha and how the ADA has basically made both infeasible to build: https://omaha.com/news/local/history/overpasses-have-outlived-omaha-underpasses-with-one-dundee-exception/article_f47a0e90-9530-1...

Why even have separate courts if a 14 year old is going to be tried as an adult? This crime is horrible and heinous. Still, generally we've agreed as a society that children do not have the same executive function as adults. Because of this they are less culpable than adults. If our juvenile justice...

I think it's far more likely that if the downtown stadium doesn't happen there's a new stadium built in Elkhorn, Gretna or Papillion than Council Bluffs.

I do not know how Council Bluffs is getting the funds in creating stroad Broadway, The Iowa West Foundation (money from gambling) contributed $10 million. The September estimates were a bit higher than June. Note this is not the rate that developers are getting on their loans but it is indicative of the trends rates are under going at large. Fed officials expect rates to sit at a median of 5.6% by year's end, the same as its projection of 5.6% in June...

There's a lot of stalled development plans while rates remain around 7%. No one can predict the future, but if the Fed is right and median rates are at 3.9% for 2025, 2.9% for 2026 right as this is coming on line, I think we'll crush the forecast development levels.
