Dear Gods, I've heard of more people that they get to play on their terrible stage at Omaha Pride than this festival can manage to gather.

Re: Picky Eaters
Theyre random really. I eat chicken, steak, potatoes, hot dogs, white bread, cheese pizza, pinto beans, bacon, chocolate, peanut butter and fish . . That's interesting, fish is usually to last thing picky eaters will try. Different fish items have been on my 'safe' list for a long time. Im comforta...

I only eat about 11 things, which doesnt include any fruits or veggies. Uh, that's quite a limited menu. Out of curiosity, what are the magic 11 things? Theyre random really. Picky Eaters
Are there any other picky eaters in Omaha. For so long, I thought I was the only one who couldnt eat the majority of foods. I only eat about 11 things, which doesnt include any fruits or veggies. I discovered about 8000 others like me, but few, if any, are in the Omaha area. I was curious if there w...

NLL and MLS
I have heard from a couple sources that Major League Lacrosse and Soccer teams have shown interest in Omaha. Apparently First National bank of Omaha is a big sponser of the Major League Lacrosse league, also their star used to play at UNO.
Also these teams could play at the new stadium.

Omaha is a Soccer Town! ? Not only was I thinking that... I was also thinking that if we can't support a AHL team.... Minor league Soccer? We all love our Creighton soccer teams, dont we? Im sure we would support an MLS team with the same enthusiasm. I know lots of people to go to all the Creighton...

They will practically touch. Awesome... I think this might be one of the sticking points on Omaha getting a Minor League Soc...

Yeah, 88 seemed a little high. agibson95, You're thinking in the right direction. What I would say is, why can't the riverfront promenade be extended south and the building kept and redeveloped? I'd envision a mixed use building with loft condos and rentals, with restaurants/clubs/bars on the ground level overlooking the rive, a...

If you are upset about Jobbers, use that anger towards the future and future destruction, not something you can't change two decades later. Of course. Forgetting the past is a time-honored method of planning for the future. I do think the thread started out as a pretty reasonable discussion about ...

What is the yellow building at the bottom left corner? Conagra should purchase that building and make a nice little park area that extends the river front. Agreed. Omaha residents are coming around, the casino bill would have been passed if just Douglas County was voting on it. Its the rest of Nebraska that is holding us back. Actually a Shedd-like aquarium would be sweet. Also a science museum on the other side of interstate on the empty lot with hotels and/or shops would be a nice addition as well as a streetcar line to the area. Then I thought about a pedestrian bridge to connect the two areas/buildings/complexes, but...

It was reported on Channel 5 this morning that 2 council members sent letters to the NCAA about a rumored letter the NCAA sent the mayors office. I am waiting for another politician to recommend a floating baseball park. Floating stadiums do exist, however they are more a huge stationary platform in the river. If you put it in the river, you could make money by having boats take the baseball fans to the park. Just think $6 for parking, $6 per...
