Our Des Moines/Iowa pride was greatly amplified in the mid-2000s with the arrival of our own snarky retailer...Raygun. It has grown to four stores...Des Moines, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids and Kansas City. https://www.raygunsite.com/ https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0690/5113/products/173_54da4d0874936...

Few are actually complaining at this point. The project was improved and now allows for a future expansion to fill in the lot along 4th Street. Originally, the lot took much more real estate on the block. Most are super excited about this addition downtown. Usually the first question I get about liv...

The thing is Streets, Council Bluffs is a control city for our interstate system in Iowa.  I believe that it should be (as it is the economic center for SW Iowa).  Omaha is indeed posted on numerous signs.  You're basically saying CB should be removed from all signs and replaced with "Omaha&...

To me it all just seems inconsistent. Ingersoll, in your example, Albert Lee is not a SUBURB of Des Moines. The way Iowa's interstate signage reads is tantamount to having signs in Omaha and ALL along east-bound I-80 toward Des Moines that read "Urbandale" or "West Des Moines" (...

I really doubt it's some conspiracy by the IDOT to slight Omaha.  If that was the case, they wouldn't list it at all.  The state determines control cities for signage.  Council Bluffs is obviously a major city in Iowa (as it's in the top 10...and the second largest city in Western Iowa).  In add...
