Re: Nebraska Football 2017

Iowa seems to be struggling a bit themselves as of late (seems like they're always able to pull off a top 10 upset every season), could be an interesting game Friday. We've definitely got some talented athletes. Can't help but wonder what this season would have been like with if we still had Banker....

I watched Solich's Ohio Bobcats at Smitty's Garage last week (when did they start playing Wednesday college football?)... looked really good. Earlier this year, they beat Purdue by 3 touchdown's. Go figure.

Re: Nebraska Football 2017

Anyone notice they seem to respond when they get behind, and then go back in cruise control if they get a lead. I don't think Tanner Lee is the problem, and I don't think he's the worst QB we've had (though he does tend to force throws into coverage/miss check downs, but not nearly as bad as Tommy)....

Stapleton is of course a new urbanist development. Omaha is way behind on the new urbanist movement... even Lincoln has Village Gardens.

Of course, this is entirely different from tiny homes, although such a setting would probably improve their appeal.

I couldn't agree more... Omaha has come a long way, even in just the past couple of years, I've noticed several areas really hitting critical mass in street activity/vibrance. I was convinced he was breaking the law as well, but in fact, the 400 feet applies to open ground. You're allowed to go over structures, by another 400 feet, within a 400 foot radius. And as someone alluded to earlier, most of the laws actually apply more to commercial operators (which doesn't reall...

Given that the state of Iowa, with all the wind turbines it has been throwing up, has not hit 40% yet... I'd say that OPPD reaching 40% within the next couple of years, is pretty phenomenal... considering how late to the game they've been.

I'm pretty sure there's a lot of section 8 people in those apartments north of L Street Marketplace off 132nd, yet the market for the surrounding real estate looks just as tight as it is anywhere else in Omaha. Bearing in mind, 'old town' Millard isn't exactly the most desirable area to begin with.

14,000 show up for Omaha Women's March

I would guess this was one of the largest marches of this kind to take place in Omaha. World Herald reported that it spanned some 14 blocks. We walked down Capitol to 13th, south to the Old Market, down Howard... it was quite a sight. https://img2.brain4.photobox.com/00144170022d12c65ef61e704e72a9b4...
