Re: Tesla Service Center

Given that the state of Iowa, with all the wind turbines it has been throwing up, has not hit 40% yet... I'd say that OPPD reaching 40% within the next couple of years, is pretty phenomenal... considering how late to the game they've been.

A new wind farm in Wayne County will boost wind power to about 40 percent of the Omaha Public Power District’s electricity generation by the end of 2019.

I don't see Omaha going any farther west for years. The ONLY reason they annexed Elkhorn, was to preempt Elkhorn's own attempts at seeking self preservation through it's own annexation, which would block the Omaha's future growth.

A lot of memories from these areas. When I was a kid, you could rent a Sunfish sailboat at the Regency lake... I guess liability keeps them off today perhaps. Remember Rusty Scupper? Sound of Peacocks 'meowing' from the Renstrom farm. Sneaking through the golf course into the Golden Spike. I got my ...

Again, I don't doubt they go over 3,000 during the 'nice' months... maybe even a few weekdays. But to attain these numbers, they need to see over 3,000 -every- day of the year (and let's face it, during the summer, the pool is the -main- attraction). There are accommodations on site which would allo...

I find these state park numbers a little hard to believe. Mahoney State Park for example... that's over 3,000 a day, 365 days per year. Come on, do they have counters on the women's bathroom door perhaps? I'd bet during this time of year, they see no more than a couple hundred on a given day, which ...

I'm pretty sure there's a lot of section 8 people in those apartments north of L Street Marketplace off 132nd, yet the market for the surrounding real estate looks just as tight as it is anywhere else in Omaha. Bearing in mind, 'old town' Millard isn't exactly the most desirable area to begin with.

Natural attrition will ultimately leave today's progressives in power by default. It's the way of things. Enjoy a last gasp of conservatism for the time being. No offense 'grandpa', but you'll be dead soon enough (note that wasn't necessarily directed at you, Smucker, just your people :) ).

14,000 show up for Omaha Women's March

I would guess this was one of the largest marches of this kind to take place in Omaha. World Herald reported that it spanned some 14 blocks. We walked down Capitol to 13th, south to the Old Market, down Howard... it was quite a sight. https://img2.brain4.photobox.com/00144170022d12c65ef61e704e72a9b4...
