sunday game

The TV game will not have the clock, but you can hear the buzzer. Unfortunately, the equipment while very good is not set up for a true TV broadcast - the set up is designed for a CCTV production.  The crew is very small.  It was a unique experience last year when we did ESPNU games.  They have a...

last second

That was a fantastic ending last night.  Although the replay didn't show the clock, the shot did go in before the buzzer sounded. I work for the video crew off and on, and we watched it a couple times last night after the game.. Great picks from after the game you posted.  The emotion of seeing th...

DC

If the time permits while in DC, visit the Holocaust Museum. Give your self a minimum of 3 hours there.  And walk the mall at night a very cool experience.
The metro is also your best bet for transport, you can get an all day ticket for around $7 and it goes everywhere.

Number one weekend movie - Saw IV

Good Omaha connection with this movie.  Local band Oxygen was contacted by the producers to write a song "Do you want to play a game" for the movie.  It can be found on the soundtrack that came out last week.  Check them out on the web. http://www.oxygeno2.com http://www.myspace.com/oxy...

I think this building was split and CM's Lawn and Landscape took over a good sized portion too.

The story now in the Omaha World Herald.
Just to see how fast things would happen, google has 7 job postings listed on their web site for Council Bluffs, IA.
They are kidding around.

(Homelessness is just one of those issues that becomes a hot topic every couple of generations, and then it just kind of goes to the back burner for a lot of people, which is why it's so hard to start up/keep running in so many places.) Unfortunately, that is true, along with the stereotype that mos...

can't say I'm disappointed.  When you spend over 2 hours in someones office interviewing for a job, laying out strategic plans and fan building models to grow the team, and not receive a call or a letter, even after follow up attempts I think shows where this was going. This experience made my feel...

It is Le Mesa

Heard from a good source on Saturday that this will be Le Mesa.
Also, Michael's a little worried about the new addition this from a person who works at Michael's.
I would hope that the tradition, longevity and location of Michael's would assist in it's continued success.

Great work on the pics.  What an incredible view of Omaha.

Although hard to single out, #14 just jumped out at me.
Great work.

How did I miss this

I drive past fun plex on my way to work every morning and never even saw the construction going on. As of this morning, it looks that the main structure is complete and they are now working on the rails and supports.
I guess being awake before I drive to work would be a good thing from now on.

Guaca Maya

The new location is just north of Q on 33rd Street.  I was at the one on 42nd street when it first opened back when, I must say the new one has a very classy look inside. I would think they invested a little in the new building.  Very Clean and inviting.  They also have a nice stage area for band...

Guaca Maya

Although the original post is over 2 years old, it is the only one I found that referenced this restaurant. I have been working in the area of 30 and Q for about 6 months and tried out Guaca Maya Today.   If you are a fan of traditional Mexican food, check it out. They hand make tortillas all day l...

Last Time

Last time Tool was in town they only sold about 8K tickets.  I think the MAC will support this show just fine.  Although, since the creation of A Perfect Circle (maynard's other band) and the new album more people are aware of who Tool is. I think tickets will go quick, not impossible, but I don't...

Faith and Tim sponsored by Jeep

Simple Logic -- This summer's Tim McGraw and Faith Hill "Soul2Soul 2007 Tour" is being sponsored by Jeep. The company feels it makes perfect sense to sponsor the couple, since Faith and Tim went on some of their first dates in a 1978 CJ-6 Jeep. “We can’t wait to get out and see everybody a...

It is funny how the more things change the more they stay the same, I now take my kids there to buy cards.  And they have some cool grown up kid stuff too.  Are there any other card shops like that in town?  It would be fun to show my kids the different places.

LB Sports Cards as well as Krypton Comics I think do fairly well over there.  I have been in those stores recently and there always seems to 4 or more people each time.  As far as a makeover, it would do wonders since Baker's moved out.[/b]

I agree with the format of the old City.  The full album play each lunch hour was worth it.
I hope it is not another country or classic rock station.  There is too much good new music out there to entertain the masses and I am not referring to the latest bubble gum music one hit wonders.[/u]
