I'll prepare to duck a few punches after suggesting this, but what about a stadium in Millard?  Could serve several purposes:

Nighthawks
Big games for UNO
Games between the three Millard Schools
State Championship Games (Memorial Stadium is WAY too big)

they might as well change the name 1620 the zone to 1620 the husker.
Husker talk pays the bills.

And in USC's defense, they do a LOT of national stories as well, but yes, the certainly cater to the Huskers.

Cowherd's ratings weren't very good and two hours of him is plenty.  Schick actually has quite a good following and I think he's got some talent, we'll see how he pans out.  I would certainly expect there to be a Bluejay skew on the show.  Funny thing is, had Perrault not been so petty and juveni...

I haven't seen the demographic breakout for the last book so it's certainly possible.  But when he says Z-92 is #1, he's not referring to Todd and Tyler, he's referring to Z-92's afternoon drive.  1620 and Z-92 usually go back-and-forth in the ratings between #1 and #2.  It's possible that Matt's...

Matt did trail 1620 but he was in 3rd place in the ratings. Z-92 was 1st, then 1620, then Matt. You prove once again that you do not know what you are talking about.  You continually throw s*** out there hoping people believe you.  Apart from one book, which was an anomaly and was actually contes...

By the way, for those that don't think the ratings had anything to do with this, the Winter book just came out and KXSP is the second lowest radio station in the market, only ahead of recently relaunched KOIL.   http://nebraskamediadiscussionforums.yuku.com/topic/4259/t/Omaha-Council-Bluffs-Winter-...

Amateur radio hour? I'm pretty sure he just got hired by a pretty darn good radio station that was up for the national sports station of the year award, sounds pretty darn good to me. He's going to a smaller market (#72 to #90 with a difference of a over 100K HH's) and he's going from his own show ...

Is Matt co-hosting?

http://www.desmoinesregister.com/articl ... 7/-1/ENT06
The late afternoon slot — from 4-7 p.m. — will retain Ken Miller, but negotiations for a co-host are continuing. McCrea said the goal is to have that show launched by April 27.

KXNO is the number 1 rated radio station in Des Moines for any category. Pretty good for a guy that got "fired" in Omaha. In any category but the one that matter--actual listeners.   http://www1.arbitron.com/tlr/public/report.do It's the #13 radio station in Des Moines. But good for Matt.

Anyone who says that 1620's show is 100% Huskers has never listened to them.  Much like anyone who says Perrault is all Bluejay love and Husker hate has probably never listened to him.

I find it hard to believe Perrault was going to decrease his pay by 2/3 instead of looking for a job elsewhere.

I have posted on here and its been posted on several boards that its not a ratings thing. Your opinion. Brad, 1620's afternoon drive show, Usportsmanlike Conduct, is #1 in men for that time-slot.  It's killing in the ratings.  I think Matt's show had a hard time breaking the top 10 for men in his timeslot.  I'm not a huge fan of 1620, but they actually do focus attention on the NFL, MLB, and even t...

However, without a new stadium, there is zero chance of a long-term commitment from the NCAA, which is really what the city is striving for. If you believe Sokol, Fahey walked away from a 10-year commitment from the NCAA with only $26M in improvements to Rosenblatt.  Fahey is, of course, denying t...

I wish the CWS would stop being thrown around by everyone as if that were the real reason we're building a new stadium.  The CWS never asked for one and never said they wouldn't be happy staying at Rosenblatt.  Listen to Fahey's press conference, the CWS wasn't involved.  There was no threat of l...

I'm fully aware of the Indianapolis story, though I'm not fully convinced they are heavily courting the NCAA.
