PUT A FORK IN THIS PLAN!  It looks like Cordish has conceded victory to Gretna, they pulled the two semi billboards last week.  Yet another project lost by La Vista.  Makes you wonder if La Vista planners need to loosen such strict design criteria.  How many more projects will go to Papillion, o...

CVS 84th and Harrison

From Omaha World Herald: With closeout signs in the windows of Big Lots and renderings of new building plans posted on the walls of Divine Truth Christian Bookstore, the plans and timeline of a new CVS Pharmacy in La Vista are becoming much clearer. The project calls for the demolition of the Big Lo...

I have to agree, when I was there a few weeks ago I thought the same thing.  I would suggest a nice cast stone face lift on the side facing the field, very bad for the site lines.

The way I see it, this will be a race to pre-lease an outlet center, and at this point I have more faith in Cordish based on their track record, over the Gretna developers.  Why would these "high end" Outlets want to go to the Gretna mall with a Used Car lot, budget hotel, Mc Donalds and ...

Another example of La Vista, separating themselves from Omaha through another progressive development.  Way to go La Vista!  I am sure Omaha has tried to lure a development like this to North Down...

I wouldn't be surprised to see Southport blow up this spring/summer with the passing of Legislative Bill 1018 and vote by La Vista to allow it to be used.  This bill does not apply to Werner Park or its surrounding development.

I wouldn't be so quick to make it sound like Papillion administrators are such great visionaries.  They want to annex out to I-80 to cut off Gretna, kind of a miniature version of Omaha vs Elkhorn.  Probably why they tried unsuccessfully to strip annex down 370 without taking the adjacent land.  ...

This finance plan is counting on a "Hotel Tax" on hotels that do not exist at all in Papillion, unless they want to tax the Liberty Lodge, which I think goes for $30 dollars a night.  There are nearly 600 existing hotel rooms at Southport and several hundred more down the road at Sapp Bro...

370 and 120th might as well be Sugarland Texas, too far out of the way in my opinion.  If this is true, another huge failure from our elected officials, hope everyone remembers this come election time.  Sarpy has an opportunity to do something better than Omaha and they may just blow it.
