Katies'/Feta's - 40th and Dodge

So Katie's Greek Restaurant on 40th and Dodge is now the new 2nd location of Feta's Greek Restaurant.

I can't find anything online or in the OWH about why the owners of Katie's closed/sold. Anybody got the scoop?

I've heard that they are uncovering windows and skylights that have been covered for years.  It should be a more open, brighter space. If you know Gene Dunn from his last resturant, Goldberg's II in Dundee he is a very hands-on owner.  Does his own renovations and is a greeter/seater when you come...

Exactly...I love sitting outside at Goldberg's on Dodge St. It's not scenic, but it's active and great for people watching.  I guess you just have to be into that kind of thing...and enjoy bus fumes with your beverage. Ha!

I am not a fan of Wal-Mart, but I agree, a WalMart Market is better than the empty building we have now. I overheard a (pretty loud) discussion at a restaurant the other day...sounded like one of the guys was the owner of the Westlake Hardware store next to the old Target.  He said that Walmart wil...

Did I just imagine it, or did I just read in the OWH, or hear on Grow Omaha, that they might be tearing down the Little King property  to the north and building a new bigger building that will house Little King's and an ethnic restaurant of some kind...?

Can anyone verify for me whether or not the glass that is dropped off at Omaha recycling drop-off locations is actually being recycled? I had a friend tell me that they were dropping glass off at the 75th and Maple location, and a guy pulled up with a big truck; he was the guy who collects all the g...

Well, if I understand it correctly, the space for Doozy's would be in the current laundromat location...the bussiness across the street that you might be thinking of is a Dry Cleaners, and I don't think they are going anywhere...

The laundromat has had a "for sale" sign up for a while...

I guess I ask myself...what is the intent of the "no left turn" signs?....Is it to avoid backed up traffic on a busy street?  Is it to prevent someone from being rear ended by somebody as they drive over the crest of a hill and suddenly have somebody stopped in their lane because there is...

Left Turn on Dodge St.

OK....I need someone here to help clear-up a family dispute. It involves turning left off of Dodge Street.... I don't think you can turn left anywhere on Dodge (from 30th to 69th).  My son has been told by a few of his friends that the rule only applies to intersections where the "no left turn...

Dario's IS a terrific little spot.  We very much enjoyed a recent dinner there.

It's really a shame about Stevie J's.  I really thought it was a good fit for the neighborhood...

ESPN Zone

In a response to a reader's letter last week, Tom Shatel of the OWH mentioned that there was a rumor that an ESPN Zone might be in the works for down around the QWEST Center....providing that plans go ahead with a ballpark in the area.  Has anyone else heard this rumor, or is Tom just trying to sta...
