I'd like to hear Jean make a commitment to biking as the easiest mode of transportation the city can improve sooner than later. At this rate by 2026/7 Omaha will likely be near the top of the list for cities with a streetcar and the worst biking infrastructures. If there were a Grow Omaha candidate ...

I doubt the canopy was designed without taking into account the flow of water. Residential houses only need 1/4 of an inch of pitch for water to flow into a downspout (assuming your roofline is straight). Based upon the above photo water would be flowing toward the parking garage which should have a...

I kind of hope that they don't put the grocery store at the Civic site. My main issue is that it's too far from the streetcar line and/or the population center. On Grow Omaha the Mayor mentioned the streetcar colors would be like the parking kiosk colors. So I guess, blue, purple, green, orange, etc.
Also interesting to note, and while unpopular on this forum, Jean said eventually the streetcar would go to the airport.

Ok, I didn't realize that...poor assumption by me. So essentially selling gas is more of a loss getter to get you to buy everything else they sell at a higher margin. I think this is maybe more political. Keep hyping the street car and trying to educate those that think the streetcar doesn't make sense. Existing apartments downtown that "no one can afford" are at 99% occupancy! Adding 700 units is only possible because of the streetcar! I was thinking ...

Are they interested in selling because perhaps there's an interested buyer?
I say sell the whole thing and turn it into Good Life District #3. Would be a great opportunity for the city to really connect to the riverfront beyond parks with commerce and perhaps more condos.
