Jean said pretty clearly the hotel would most likely go on Lot B with another skywalk bridge and parking lost would be made up at Lot D. She also said with Lot D being so big they were looking at developing part of it too.

Re: Civic Square (former Civic Auditorium)

I kind of hope that they don't put the grocery store at the Civic site. My main issue is that it's too far from the streetcar line and/or the population center. As such, it's a bit too far to walk, especially with heavy bags of groceries. A lot of lazy people (like me) will end up driving, even tho...

On Grow Omaha the Mayor mentioned the streetcar colors would be like the parking kiosk colors. So I guess, blue, purple, green, orange, etc.

Also interesting to note, and while unpopular on this forum, Jean said eventually the streetcar would go to the airport.

Ok, I didn't realize that...poor assumption by me. So essentially selling gas is more of a loss getter to get you to buy everything else they sell at a higher margin. Nonetheless, the lack of gas stations in downtown likely helps Cubby's sales of corn nuts and fountain drinks. Back on topic...the Wh...

8712 S.F. for the building thought all of that space isn't particularly laid out for grocery. Cubby's is a gas station plus store.
