Having lived in the Washington, DC metro now for 22 years, I can see why it ranked so high on the list. Â Remember guys, they are probably including the metro (Virginia and Maryland Suburbs) with easy access to downtown DC via metro, etc., yet having some of the best schools and access to education,...

Not sure about Jams...since I live in DC....but 5 Guys is an institution here in the DC area for years...and pretty much on every street corner. Â Michelle Obama and her staff came into the Dupont Circle location at lunch time when I was there with a friend a month or so ago. I love their Burgers an...

I remember jobbers canyon when I was a kid. Â When I heard it was being torn down...it made me sick to my stomach. Â Even as a kid....I remember those buildings added so much to downtown and the old market. Â There was a proposal on the table at the time (I believe Marty Shukert was involved) for a ...

I had the opportunity to fly from DC to Des Moines over the 4th of July holiday to visit my partner who had to relocate there temporarily for the Obama campaign...I had certainly been to Des Moines before, but was really impressed again about how much it has grown...and how clean it was. Omaha ALL OVER national media lately
I have noticed this too Aaron. Â I'm in Louisville, KY finishing up work for the Obama campaign. Â My hotel provides the obligatory US Today. Â The front page story is American Airlines charging $15 for the first bag of checked luggage. Â They quote an Omaha executive who travels and supports this f...

Thanks Cowboy for your support of my thought and that they are legitimate. I have to agree with Aaron once again regarding the issue of urban planning. Tolerance must be fostered from the Mayor and City Council. I am unfamiliar if the city has a staff member or department addressing the issue of tolerance. Thanks Wags for taking the time to post the photos- Those are incredible. I had no idea of the detail involved. What a contribution to downtown. Sad to see this beautiful farmland in the middle of an urban area developed into this kind of development. My mom sold her house in May facing the property and has since moved elsewhere in the city.
