Looks like a really nasty bit of radar that is moving south of us, more toward Lincoln and Beatrice. Hoping the other rain holds and hits us.

Mountain lions aren’t super rare out in western Nebraska, like the wildcat hills. Maybe they wander from there?

Orb weavers are a large family of spiders and we have a lot of different types in Omaha! Garden spiders, for example, are orb weavers. I've noticed a decent amount this year, but nothing compares to maybe 2011ish? I couldn't walk outside without hitting one that year.

It's wild to me that any neighbor would want to keep it as is. The park feels sketchy as heck when you drive through. The road is completely torn up and there's trash everywhere.

Not entirely related to Venice Inn, but I wish they'd make a connection from this property to the adjacent parking lot directly to the east so that you could access 69th St / the light. Re: Blackstone Business Improvement District
I'm sure there's a good reason (aside from probably costing a lot more), but could they have made the conversion go past the bank? You could still have two lanes that curve into Harney St, but the outside lane would have the option of going straight.
