It's so crazy to think that these lights had been out of order since shortly after the bridge was completed. I remember they were so impressive when the bridge first opened.

Really? Is it paved the whole way? I know the City recently completed work extending the trail pretty far north along Pershing Drive but I didn't realize it connected to anything that took it that far north.

Haha. Wow, we are very similar in this regard. Yes, I too have found the whole thing endlessly fascinating in its implications for American cities, architecture, and society.

The documentary paints such a vivid picture of that time. It's incredibly good.
