LOL, there is a certain, uh, "nickname" for this casino that seems to be catching on. Just think of a similarly-sounding two-syllable name that is a synonym for brothel.

Good News (not really). The Sinclair station that was next Popeye's closed and will be replaced by........Mega Mart. Such a depressing thought. That's too bad! It was Paul's Sinclair. That's where I always go (make that past tense, went) for car repair. It was an old fashioned service station with ...

It's Lipton Onion Soup Mix, very common as an onion flavoring or substitute, and I thought the acronym was more well known that it appears to be.

Re: B & G Tasty Foods has been purchased
Due respect to Maid Rite, I always found B & G to be (if you'll pardon the pun) tastier, MUCH tastier than Maid Rite. I found Maid Rite to be completely flavorless. I also found B & G to be unique and the workers, even the non family ones, to be totally invested in customer service. Of cour...

Has anyone here been to the Jacksonville airport, let alone before the mid 2000s? 2007, and that was the last time I walked on the tarmac to board--no jetway. Other than that, I can't tell you a thing about the airport. Before Covid I would end up flying into Jaxport maybe once a year or so. I was ...

Have you heard anything about Spirit coming to OMA? I'm not going to go into details on why I ask other than I thought you'd be the one to ask. If anything, it's more competition, which is a Good Thing (tm) for the flying public. Not to mention that Spirit makes Allegiant and Frontier look like ful...

Very seldom do you ever hear the term "Super" used for a resident manager in this part of the country. I always wondered why they chose Omaha and that term for the show.

I pass that way maybe once a week. IIRC that's the tract right by the fire station. I assume that most/all of it will be residential, but I would not put it past some developer to put yet another strip mall in the area fronting 168th. I'm sure that they will be widening 168th. in the near future.

I'm definitely not into it, but there's this one blog that keeps coming up on various photography and NYC sites which discusses the topic, and not just the NYC area.

Out here in the Hinterlands we have Century Link for Internet and on those speed test sites I get about 8 megs. CET has announced that the local Horseshoe will be opening on June 1.
However, there's no word on any date for the Harrah's, except for a note that the "sister property" would be opening as planned on June 1.
