Re: Omaha Local News Channels

I don't understand why "Jeopardy!" airs on WOWT and "Wheel" on KETV. The only time they were both on the same station was back in the late 80's/early 90's when they aired on KMTV. Those are now both syndicated shows, as opposed to network shows. They will appear in most major ma...

Re: Man Dragged Off Plane in Chicago

I don't have all of the details for sure, but this situation was handled very poorly. As a semi-frequent flier, United is probably my least favorite of the major airlines to fly. Yes, they have great coverage and they usually get you there in one piece and more or less on time, but when things go wr...

Re: Omaha Eppley Airfield

Southwest flies 6x daily to Midway during the Summer and a few other busy periods of the year, otherwise it's been 5x daily during past several years during slow times. I believe this year they did drop down to 4x daily in January on off days this past year. Going forward, schedule looks consistent...

Untied is probably my least favorite airline. The attitude of many of their people exudes arrogance and quite honestly that segment which is now in heavy rotation on the news channels does not surprise me at all. :(

As far as I remember, those markings have been at B15-B19…maybe I'm wrong. I don't know, I was not really paying attention to the numbers. One thing I do find kind of amusing is that one flight I take semi-frequently to Chicago seems to always take off a B-17 in Omaha and land at B-17 at Midway. :)

I've noticed this more and more and more lately, specifically on KMTV and KETV (I seldom watch WOWT news anymore). They seem to be referring to street names improperly quite a bit. "Ames STREET" and "Giles STREET" (multiple times) are the two most recent. I would THINK that those...

Comparitavily, Bemis Park was a cakewalk compared to where we came from! I lived in that area for a while back in the 1970s. I thought the neighborhood was not bad at all. I also think the Dodge Expressway is great. I'll often take it if I drive in using 168th. I've also wondered why there is no exit on Blondo from 680. I assume that it was because when it was build, the growth on Blondo out there was not enough to justify it.
