This cross at the Forest Lawn cemetery caught my eye. Shot hand-held with Nikon D70 and 20mm f/2.8 prime.

Nice crop
I like the crop on the second one best of all the shots you had, but nice colors and composition all the way around. I need to get out this fall yet and do some shooting before the browns of winter take over.

I work at Werner which is right by the Interstate, so it takes me about 10 minutes to get there, shoot for 30 minutes and scurry back. Same thing with PRSP. I don't wander around much and have developed favorite spots (such as the cats). After a couple years I pretty much know where I want to go at ...

Went to the zoo today over lunch to snap off a few. Just thought this might be the oddest expression I'd seen one of the big cats make. He wasn't growling, but he sure did drool like some kind of mental patience

Trip to Vala's Pumpkin Patch
A little exposure to local Americana I guess, but Vala's pumpkin patch has some wonderful opportunities for photography. These are all just oddball shots I took an a rainy, muddy day. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2044/1627397072_ab96a3b624.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2344/1627399188_d1ef754...

That second one is great! Nice work. What are you shooting with? In the second shot it was a Nikkor 55mm AIS  f/3.5 Macro on a D200. This was on a tripod and using a remote shutter release. Its a good thing  these woods are pretty much deserted as I can only imagine what a 45 year old guy squatti...

Great shots! looks like it was a fun time. Â Just one question, why no shots of the cheerleaders? They were down the track a ways from where I was sitting. They were at an extreme angle and I just didn't see much of interest. I had grabbed a shot of one doing standing back flips before the game as ...

Took in my first High school football game in many years. Had a great time taking shots under tough lighting conditions. Had to go to ISO2000 a lot! This is actually a multi-shot panorama done with PTGui. Shot from the scenic look out down the street from the "dark angel' in council bluffs.

Re: A double exposure which actually kinda works ...
Way cool! I shot large format last year (4x5 inch negatives) and it was the same way, upside down and sideways. But I LOVED the process and the quality of output. One trick I always wanted to try was a double exposure of a building both before sunrise and after. The shot before sunrise would allow t...

Re: A double exposure which actually kinda works ...
Was this shot with a medium format TLR? I do love this shot though and the creativity and vision it took to pull it off! Thanks, but ... :) Trust me, it was accidental creativity here. :) I just spaced off winding between two shots. I was just taking various angles of the sculpture and forgot to win...

Re: A double exposure which actually kinda works ...
Very nice shot. I've had mixed results from double exposures and pretty much now just use layers in photoshop. You can paste one shot across the other and use adjustment layer to only double expose the parts you want. I'm pretty sure that Photoshop elements can do the same thing. My kids do enormous...

I know... its autumn now and the flowers are pretty much gone but I like bee shots. Handheld shot with 30 year old Nikon 55mm Micro lens on a D200.

That's really cool. Â I like when there is an intense light like that in the middle of the subject. Â Inside the trailer of an 18 wheeler right? yes, he was refurbishing the trailer. I like the contrasting study of reds in the second shot. Â The angle of the shot also leads my eye back & forth, so composition was great as well. Congrats! I've been rather prolific lately. These are from my lunch break today. I've got a few more to post so check back later. Thanks. :) http://i...

For those who know me online, it is no secret that one of my favorite parks in the Omaha/Lincoln area is Platte River State Park. While over shadowed by the more popular Mahoney (which is only a few miles away from PSRP), I find PSRP to be more enjoyable. I often think that Mahoney is the Adventurel...

These are actually older shots, but I thought I'd throw them out there as I had a good time shooting down there. Mornings are a particularly great time as the light hits the river and the downtown. Highly recommended place for photographers as there is a lot of room. Mornings are extremely quiet, wh...

While I love all of the zoo, I find myself drawn back to the lions in the cat section (notice I didn't say cat house :) of the Omaha zoo.
