Re: Della Costa (formerly MTC Brix)
I'm not so sure there is a winning formula food wise for MTC. Its a pass-through neighborhood. Moving Alamo, Culprit, and Modern Love into spaces there was absolutely a win, but I just am not of the belief that outside event times, i.e. jazz on the green etc. That MTC will ever find a formula that ...

Re: Wendy's on 90th closed
Used to eat at Wendy's rather often. Now only as a last resort. The workers are terrible, the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers are a joke, the stores in my area are filthy and outdated, the order is wrong MOST of the time, and the food is just generally not good anymore. I don't know how anyone can market th...

Re: Sorenson Park Plaza
I would like to see the places over there make it. We used to live at 78th and Crown Point and that area was lacking in some of the things Sorenson Park Plaza provides. How's the movie theater over there doing? Never seems to be much traffic around it when I drive by. Greg Every time I drive by the...

Caffeine Dreams
Drove by Caffeine Dreams last Wednesday on my way to try Noli's in Blackstone and there were no cars in the parking lot and the lights were off. Never go there, but when I would drive by the parking lot generally looked busy.

Re: Old Dundee Bar & Grill
Every time I have driven by they have been fairly busy. One Saturday when I drove by I would even go as far to say they were packed. I think it is a really stupid name though. When did Benson become Dundee? I certainly wouldn't walk from the heart of Downtown Benson to this place. It's downhill and ...

Western Hills
I cannot find anything about how Western Hills Elementary on 66th and Western is going to look. Can anyone help me with this? I've searched and live right down the street and can't find anything. Thanks in advance.

After seeing the name Harrington I put two and two together and realized this guy is the husband of Melissa Midwest who was pretty big in the early 2000's for posing topless in public areas.

Re: Twisted Fork Grill & Bar (former Butsy le Doux's)
Went here for Valentine's Day a few years back and the seating is pretty bad. Made reservations, but still had to wait for 15-20 minutes. The food was decent, but not worth the prices they were charging. Went to the Twisted Fork over the week end. It was kind of Twisted alright. For my appetizer I h...

Ate at one down in Orlando back in March. It really wasn't all that good, but people were still lined up out the door.

Re: Stroud's Pan-Fried Chicken (former Mimi's @ Village Pointe)
Here's a free suggestion for the Strouds people. Try to open a second location where LoLos Chicken and Waffles is, off 72nd and Ames. I think they would finally be a perfect fit for that building. Oh, if I was a franchisee, I would definitely be eyeing that location. The thought of what it would ta...

I'm pretty sure LoLo's is doing pretty well and isn't going anywhere any time soon. Also, from the pri...

While I love me some Danny Woodhead, he is not a former Cornhusker. Chadron State is where he set records. And it sucks that he broke his leg.

I guess that would make some sense... if half the Summit's schools (or more?) didn't in fact have football/wrestling programs in 'the Valley'. Note, UNO is the second highest enrollment university in the Summit 'league' as well. It's hard to imagine, a state, less than half as populous as Iowa... c...

Ate at this joint last year. The food was terrible, but we had a Groupon.
Drove by a few weekends ago and it was closed. Drove by again last week and it was open, but dead.
Close it down for good.

Re: Fusion BBQ (7024 Maple Street)
We tried this place a few weeks ago at about 7pm on a Tuesday or Wednesday and they were out of chicken and ribs. Also ran out of a couple of the sides. The food was decent, but nothing great. It was also pretty pricey even with the Pinpoint BOGO. Hartland BBQ in Benson is great, and I really want t...

Re: Creighton weighing options for use of Storz mansion
As there is already a half way house on the street, I can't sympathize that this will take away from single family homes, especially when it was an event center and not a single family home. I apologize for the snark in what follows, but there should be a lot more group homes and halfway houses in ...
