Re: 1200 Landmark Center

I'm sure the Mayor and Chamber of Commerce are already doing a lot to attract more companies and offices to locate downtown, but maybe they still need to step up the effort a few more notches. As long as they don't give away too much. Better mass transit to and from downtown would help too, of cour...

Re: Atlas Apartments 1609 Binney St

This is exciting. There are some amazing big old buildings on north 16th street that would make wonderful apartment buildings. Also you're really close to downtown. The last time I was in this neighborhood, the condemned buildings were being cleaned up, albeit very slowly. There are a lot of abandon...

3 days into the new year and the FAKE NEWS is back at it beating the Midtown Streetcar Drum. It was only a one liner buried in a front page article about the future of transportation in Omaha. The article implies that if we are to land big companies like Amazon then we are going to need a streetcar...

Right.. No news. Nothing to update. But the W-H places a large front page piece in the Sunday paper.. Maybe we need to commission a “study” to analyze the reasoning for the W-H article... It's interesting to me that Hal Daub didn't add his name. I also notice that many of these companies are development or real estate companies. Another complaint about the OWH. Today they listed a story saying Rep Bacon will hold a town hall on Monday night but didn't give a date. Is it October 16? I just saw the digital only offer online. I don't like there's an account setup fee of $6. Plus I think $10 per month is decent, but a little steep. I think $5 per month would be better. I may be a minority in this one, but I really wish QT or Bucky's would build at the 30th street exit at I-680. I spend a lot of time in the area north of the bridge and the station at that exit, along with the Cubby's at 48th and Highway 75 are both lacking. A modern gas station around that area wo...
