You don’t see people clamoring to live in exurban locales in London, Paris, Mexico City, Shanghai or Moscow, or any other large city. I live in Shanghai five-six months each year and completely agree with your assessment. Housing prices increased based on two factors: 1. proximity to city center 2....

Four-star Pine Bluffs recruit Hunter Thompson verbally commits to Wyoming Thompson, a 6-foot-10, 225-pound senior, had previously committed to Creighton but decommitted in July. Kudos to Iowa State for being willing to come play UNO tonight at Baxter. Iowa State will likely win the match easily, but will lose some RPI points. It's a no win for them. Hopefully Creighton and NU will be willing to add UNO soon.

And after a disappointing first game in which Creighton lost a 2-0 lead, the Jays rebounded with a good win over Iowa State yesterday.

Speaking of disappointment, #7 USC lost is first three matches (all at home) against three unranked foes. Creighton plays at USC on Saturday.

I just don't understand how in "one" city everything big and new goes downtown but here it doesn't. IMO, Part of the reason is that Omaha's downtown is at the edge of the city and not centrally located. Edit to add: Yes, Chicago's extremely successful downtown is at the edge of that city,...
