Re: Tiny Homes
Tiny Homes is just gaining momentum. Actually a Tiny Homes neighborhood somewhere in Omaha would be awesome. Herb Freeman's (Where did you go Herb?) TND on State St. had a few designed in. I'd like to see some tiny homes on some of the vacant lots in North Omaha. Presumably, smaller = cheaper. I'd ...

Re: West Farms/South Farms (144th Dodge/Pacific)
I am very excited for this project and truly hope that it pans out they way they are planning. Omaha is in desparate need of this kind of development thats uses styling from the older neighborhoods and makes it (hopefully) more affordable.

Re: Tesla Service Center
Given that the state of Iowa, with all the wind turbines it has been throwing up, has not hit 40% yet... I'd say that OPPD reaching 40% within the next couple of years, is pretty phenomenal... considering how late to the game they've been. Actually, when you close down one plant producing almost 50...

Re: OPPD Rate Increases
It's my understanding that wind power is at cost parity with coal. http://fortune.com/2015/10/06/wind-cheap-coal-gas/ I know people in the industry and those cost are wildly misleading. Wind generation cost is currently almost double what coal is in the midwest. You also need ALOT of wind turbines ...

Re: OPPD Rate Increases
What most people don't seem to realize are ALL the costs that go in to delivering a utility to your house. With ever increasing environmental regulations and the push for "clean power", the cost to bring that to a home and keep it reliable goes up. Just because you use less power than me,...

They're in their early 60s and still playing like they were 20 years ago. These guys never partied, did drugs, rarely drank, and were married most of their careers. Probably the healthiest "rockstars" around.Coyote wrote:Geddy Lee is still around?

Re: Restaurant: Impossible is headed to Bene Pizza
I would not even know this place existed if it were not for the pinball machines they have, sell and promote. I was under the impression that the pinball machines were kind of what made this place cool and unique. I predict the so called professionals will come in and say "loose the pinball ma...
