Its the South Hill Rows project. I heard they were going to do more row homes in the area but the TIF committee told them no. Not the planning board.

Looking at the future land use map it seems to me that both the developer and the NIMBY's have an argument. It's easy to understand how the developer could not accomplish this type of project next to Fair Acres and that could be an outlier. I do feel however that the way this particular project play...

So if what is being said on here is correct then a bunch of doctors got fed up and opened their own clinic... Sounds like they are cutting red tape to me, not adding it. I welcome more competition in the healthcare world.

Seems to me that if HDR wants to prove they are a national player they would need to build something urban, tall & awesome. A west Omaha office park isn't going to impress any clients.

I stopped in at Well Grounded the other day. I spoke with the barista who is the proprietor and she was very optimistic. I hope the building owner is paying her to occupy the space, its going to take quite a bit more in the area to bring the customer profile they seek.

I bet they are putting on an addition of some sort. I imagine it would be tough to configure that space without some additional SF.

My architect friend said shutting down TIF wouldn't stop anything. They would just demolish the building and sell the land-probably to some boring apartment builder.
