I asked MAT and got this reply: The bike rack procurement process has begun.  Not sure at this point when they'll be operational.  At a minimum they'll be installed and operational by late summer, early fall. Oh, man, to think that they'd waste the whole spring and summer after sitting on that gra...

Right of way Harry Anderson Q to Harrison

Anyone know what plans are for the RR right of way along Harry Anderson from Q to Harrison? I see the grounds crew from the country club across the street pulling carts of yard waste over there to dump on the creek bank. Seems like it would make a good addition to the trail system if cleaned up.

About Harry Anderson

Yes, Harry Anderson is exactly the route I need, but with no shoulders and two lanes, I'd never go on it with a bike. The Omaha bike map indicates a future trail along that route, which would be perfect, but I can't get any information about when it will be built. Anybody know the answer to that one...

Thanks for your post!

Many thanks for your post, Twiztid1!. How long have you been biking to work? Yes, please tell us about the skunk!   You're doing what I'm trying to figure out - riding a little extra to keep your ride safe. I need to cross the intersection of Hwy 50 & Q, and get down that gauntlet of Q str...

Thanks, but looking for positive information

Thanks for the links to the old comments. Now I know what's gone before. But I'm interested in hearing from the people who are bike commuting in spite of the obstacles - making it work for them. I see more bike commuters on the streets all the time. I regularly see a man near the end of his commute....

Don't get too excited

That article in Getting Around is the result of my email to that reporter. The OWH had a brief article about being awarded the grant the previous September or October, then nothing. And I have spent all this time trying to get some information. I've repeatedly asked MAT and once asked the mayor's ho...
