There are multiple young families moving back into that neighborhood.  My aunt and uncle have two young children and recently moved into a house on Oak Hills Dr, and one of my friends who is a professor at Creighton with a young family just moved there as well.  If you speak with the staff at the ...

Trader Joe's has not yet expanded to Denver.  I would be floored (and ecstatic) if they skipped that market and came to Omaha.

Just got back from lunch.  Great service and atmosphere and food was good and prompt.  Will definitely be back.

That's interesting, because it seems like the meat plant just south of Q uses that rail line as well.  I always see rail cars back there.

Danny's at 90th & Blondo is awesome.  Also, one of the few places in town that still has a smoking and non-smoking section.

With the departure of Abercrombie & Fitch and Ethan Allen closing up the street, there could be a lot of empty store fronts on that stretch of Pacific.

Has anyone thought about what holiday traffic will be like in this development once it is done?  It is already challenge enough to maneuver into Home Depot from 132nd Street.  I am not looking forward to the congestion once it all goes in.

Yes, much broader appeal.  Everyone can find something in their price range at C&B for their house.  I can't think of another new retailer I'd rather have in Omaha right now.  Resto is nice, but only appeals to a certain design style (Ethan Allen crowd) and is laughingly expensive (EA crowd a...

I heard that they were closing about 9 months ago.  I asked the manager at Trinis when I was in there a few months back and she knew nothing about it.

If that is in fact what this thread is referring to...

Resto just was purchased by a private group for a price well below what they were hoping for.  I love the store as well but I think it'll be awhile before they build any new stores.  I expect them to announce closings before too long.  Their holiday sales were down a bit vs last year.

I heard from a Fremont resident last week that the building will be split into three pieces and moved.  No word on timing though.  I still have trouble believing that's cost effective.

Just head up Cuming to 40th and hit up Lisa's Radial Cafe next to the Cathedral.  While not downtown, it's the best breakfast in town in my humble opinion.

Went to eCreamery last night for the first time since the switch from T&W and was not impressed.  The gelato was icy and flavorless, and the ice cream lacked the strong flavors that makes T&W so amazing.  The service, while not rude, was nothing special.  Of course I never had a problem w...

I was in Paris last week and these things were everywhere.  They're especially handy in downtown areas.  Would be great to see them put the stand alone dealership closer to downtown than their current stores, but probably not likely.

From what I understand T&W's owns ecreamery.com, which is why the website refers to 50th & Underwood as their HQ on the contacts page.  I think T&W bought it a year ago or so.   From the site: "And the next time you happen to be in Omaha, stop in and say hello! You can find us at ...
