I feel like "University of Omaha" could sound big-time. Â Look at all the other large universities that use the city name in them... NYU, Pittsburgh, Tulsa, Louisville, Cincinnati, etc.Linkin5 wrote:Nebraska State sounds more big time than Omaha University.

ISU couldn't score cause our D stopped them. Yeah, and ISU's defense had absolutely nothing to do with holding NU to 7 points, either... But you're right. In the history of Nebraska football, they've never been the worse team on the field. They've always beaten themselves, been screwed by the refs,...

Not Everyone Watched The Husker Game http://www.wowt.com/home/headlines/63867462.html?storySection=story The story itself isn't strange, but the title is just ridiculous considering it has NOTHING to do with the Husker game. Â Seriously... does everything in this town have to revolve around Nebrask...

I did a backpacking trip in that part of the country last March. Â We did an multi-day backcountry trip in Glen Canyon. Â However, we also did a day hike near Kanab in one of the longest slot canyons in the world. Â It is called Buckskin Gulch. Â This was one of the most amazing hikes I have ever do...

Typically I tune to KETV for the local news. Â However, the one thing that I absolutely cannot stand with them is the sports cast. Â Every night the entire sports cast is an update on the Husker football team... regardless if they had a game that day or not or if it's even football season. Â For som...

I stand corrected... I just further researched it, and I can't actually find a law that prohibits you from riding on the sidewalk in NE. Â I've heard that it was illegal from may sources, but perhaps it's not. Â I did manage to find several other cities where it is illegal, but nothing specific to O...

You should avoid Times Square at all costs... well maybe take stop by for a few pictures. Â Taking pictures is the only thing it's good for, other than that, it is a huge tourist trap. For an observation deck, I would recommend Rockefeller Center. Â It has an awesome view over Midtown/Central Park. ...

Even if the stadium does sit empty all year except for those 2 weeks, how's this any different from the hundreds of college football stadiums around the country??? These stadiums get used 6 or 7 days a year, and people don't seem to have a problem with that... but it's suddenly an issue for the CWS?...

I've been in there twice since they opened. Â It's a night and day difference from what it used to be. Â They have pretty good food and a ton of flat panel TVs to watch sports on. Â They also have a DJ booth/dance floor and are building a patio out back. Â I recommend checking it out if you haven't...

This should be a great addition for the area. Â Not only is he taking over the old cafe that used to be there (I think it was called Nick's???), but it looks like they are also going to be occupying the space next door directly on the corner of 33rd and Harney, which seems to always be occupied by g...

I've been to Toronto on 2 separate occasions. Â It is a really awesome city, so I don't blame you for wanting to move there. mcarch... It's funny that you mentioned that problem. Â I experience the exact same frustration with that exit everyday, too. As an ISU alum, I'm very upset to see McCarney leave. It's not his fault that the team has been plagued by injuries this year... in addition to cutting a couple of starters at the beginning of the season because of personal problems. I really think that he deserved another year. On the other hand, I...

I went on the tour Saturday. I would have to say that I was the most impressed by The Paxton and Ford Warehouse. The Ford Warehouse had a bunch of different models open, which was really nice. The 2-floor penthouses were very cool. J-Lofts was about what I expected. They had a very modern feel to th...
