This might help to show some of you things you take for granted and may not even think about when it comes to treatment of gay people. This past Friday was my work place Christmas party. We had a DJ and people were dancing and they started playing some slow songs for couples. A co-worker of mine wh...

I just stumbled across this thread and I feel the need to call bull |expletive|. Those city-data threads have a very strong majority who support gay marriage. The threads got ugly when a certain poster flooded every f*cking thread with gay c rap. We could have been talking about the darn zoo and so...

Great post Big E. Wow, its just mindboggling how the dislike and misunderstanding for gays is seeping from under that closet door since my last post. Â But, like I've said before, its just one person to bring up gay issues, not far behind you'll see the real ignorance breaking out of those closet d...

Like I mentioned previously, it is a mess at the other forums, but I still get some great supportive messages from people in private. Â I think its interesting to note that this thread has over 230 views, but only 7 posts. Â I wonder which side of the argument they are on. As far as anti-gay legisla...

I know it is getting a bit messy. But I do appreciate the support any poster can give. Thanks for a post of hope. We all will be needing that in the coming weeks. The more people who support us but don't speak up, the more of a mess we'll have on the streets when we protest again. Â This is just ...

I honestly think the only hope for that mall is to either renovate the heck out of it or tear it down and start over. With the new target I doubt they would do the latter. If they do the latter they should do sometype of mixed use development. Â There are a lot of businesses in the area, Crossroad...

Well the people who started this site http://www.recall-fahey.com must know something you guys don't! I just added this website to my Omaha directory this morning, I think it deserves all the attention it gets! They claim its was Fahey and his cronies who submitted the idea to the NCAA, not the NC...

Re: Joint effort to start a new yearly Omaha's best person s
This last year has revealed to me that there are some incredible people in this city who just keeps on giving.. Just a thought though, I would love to start a site to start recognizing people in this city who keep contributing.. Anyone think this would be a good thing? Worthwhile thing? An eomahafo...

Uffda - I know SD is about done widening U.S. 12 from the Sisseton exit on I-29 to Aberdeen. That project connects Aberdeen (and Webster) to I-29 with a 4 lane divided highway. I could be wrong, but I believe U.S. 14 has also been widened from the Brookings exit on I-29 to Huron. There are probably...

Capital guy --- those towns I am aware --- SurfOmaha was making it sound like they little towns that were growing because of the interstate connections. T.he interesting thing part of his crossroads interstate theory is Sioux Falls sits at the junction of I-29 ad I-90 and if you ever traveled alo...

I'm not saying the interstate is the sole factor in Omaha's growth, but it is an important factor, and its not just I-80, the Omaha Metro is at crossroads where 2 interstates intersect. Â We are a major distribution hub because of that. All the growth in the past decade or two in Nebraska has been w...

That's just odd. I bet if anyone other than the OWH owned the property the OWH would be doing a story on it, but since its their own, they don't have to if they are hiding a big surprise. If they are selling the property they would not have done the demo work they have. Time to call in the HeartL...

All the Omaha Metro needs to do to reach the 1 million mark is to find the economics to get Lincoln and Omaha classified as a Consolidated Metro Area, which is very, very possible at this point.
