Drove by this week-still doing duct work inside, pretty rough for an opening in a month or less.

Re: HyVee Growth Plans
My take on the closing of the home delivery distribution centers is that the novelty has worn off and not as many people are using home delivery. I do not see nearly the number of HyVee delivery vehicles in our area that I did at first. HyVee also stated that not everything was stocked in the deliv...

Re: Shark Club/Quality Inn
The hotel was a dump, the land is awkwardly situated, and the bar developed a crappy reputation so no one was going to try a renovation project. The sooner it gets taken down and replaced with something useful, the better. That place was here in 1975 when I moved here, so no telling how old it is. I...

Tried this a couple weeks ago-the meats we tried (brisket & ribs) were good but the sides were pretty bad, bad enough to not go back.

The Homestyle Cafe has been in the same location, same strip mall just off Maple since the 1970's, at least. I used to go there as a kid, it was great then but haven't been back since. Might need to try the new space.

Re: New ABC sitcom is set in Nebraska. It's about a couple of city slickers who decide to live the Good Life
Maybe it’s the pessimistic in me, but I sense the same old stereotypes will be presented (yawn)- corn, cows, pigs, farms, backwards hickishness etc.. Nebraska could not, possibly, be urban- at ALL right?.. if this ends up being the case, it’ll be a hard pass for me..And I hope it ends up being a fl...

We dated there in the 70'S, was way smaller then, perhaps an enclosed trailer? Sad to see it go, stopped there often, even though the service was horrible.

Google Coming To Town?
Any ideas why Google would contract a small Omaha company for a large order of red and white handmade items?? I have a client that was contacted by Google to make these said items and I do contract sewing for her. I don't know any of the details yet but apparently the deal is so large, she is puttin...

Re: McAlister's Deli replacing Hooters (125th and Center)
That's too bad. I have always enjoyed McAlister's when traveling, thought the food was great. Unfortunately, both Omaha locations seemed to be lacking in that great food-they were just OK and not very busy.HR Paperstacks wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 12:24 pm Just noticed in this WOWT article that McAlister's is closed.

For the “Dillard’s to Westroads” crowd, Sadler intimated it’s unlikely to happen as Dillard’s actua...

Re: Hurts Omaha
This is a real question. I am looking for a good place for a donut. Not a gut bomb with toppings or filling, just a good normal donut. Will this place give me a dirty look if I ask for a plain donut with cinnamon sugar or chocolate on it? Hurts is not known for normal donuts, they are more obscene....

Dicks is more so sporting goods, REI is more outdoor gear. Two very different markets. Besides, malls of the past did just fine having 4+ department stores.
