Re: Mega Saver (SEC 72 & Dodge Street)
People in Omaha need to grow some balls. It’s a |expletive| gas station not a methadone clinic. That area needed a convince store for a while now. I’d go there at least once a week. “Oh no people are going to be buying vapes and delta 8 next door?!? My Christian neighborhood is ruined!” Then the dad...

I don’t mind this 5 story box as much as the others. I like the metal detailing and the white paneling matches the Twin Tower in Midtown.

I take the bus by this all the time. It’s cool to see it rising but they need to do something about pedestrian crossings. I cross 72nd and Dodge and in the morning people are oblivious and will take a right turn when you’re standing right by them with the crossing light on.

The building is on the National Registry and some rich people have fancy apartments at the top. There is a 0% chance of it being torn down. Miss Jeneie In A Bottle is already hated enough, she would not allow that PR nightmare and city backlash. Lots of older people have an attachment to the buildin...

I mean they were floating the idea of covering 480 at one point. I think 3 pedestrian overpasses along Dodge St in this area would make a lot of change. The tunnel would be the best idea but the city will never spend that much. I would love to see this segment of Dodge made a tunnel along with 480 a...

Does anyone know what they are planning on doing to the abandoned graffiti tower. I just came across it in the E line station and see that it's still tagged. I don't know if it's just me but I like the fonts, uniformity in sizes, which also makes the building more colorful. Generally I don't like g...

With the amount of pedestrian accidents along Dodge in this stretch it’s disgusting the city has never made a bridge or tunnel to get over Dodge St. The only one is all the way by UNO. If they want to push mass transit you need an actually walkable city.

I went to North Downtown and I can’t believe anyone wants to live there. Just empty lots, soulless 5 over 1s and nothing. Add to that the shanty towns built and it’s Omaha’s version of LA.
