Canfield's had a price matching policy with Amazon and I think other places on the internet too. I grew up shopping for outdoors gear at Canfield's and am sad this Westside mainstay is closing.

Nancy Mammel - rezoning land

In the preliminary planning board agenda for the meeting tomorrow there is note of two properties owned by Nancy Mammel requesting rezoning to NBD. Both properties are currently lots in disuse, one in Benson across from Full house and the other at the corner of 13th and pierce. I know she has played...

Re: Missouri River Commons (Riverfront Development)

Likely echoing the thoughts of others here, but the southern plan is much more exciting than the north. It is nice they are cleaning up another portion of the riverfront - the more use we can get out of our only natural resource the better! The Farnam st pier seems like a great idea and should work ...

I second all of the comments about the building being constructed and designed poorly. It would fit in much better way out west which is not what people living in Midtown are usually looking for. In addition, check out the rest prices. Much higher than other rents in the area, even in other new buil...

Re: apartments on pacific between 48th & Saddle Creek

I wish they’d put some more thought into the design of the apartment building. It’s just a box with some holes cut into it for windows. Are building materials so costly that this is the best they can do? I agree - terribly unimaginative with no architectural flair. The rowhouses especially look che...

For those who have not seen - the iEXCEL center is looking very good and starting to complete it's footprint/shape. There looks to be a big concrete pour happening tomorrow. My guess for this is Newark, NJ. The NY Times made a pretty solid argument for them in this article https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/16/nyregion/newark-amazon-headquarters.html . Most importantly, the subsidy numbers the state gov't is offering is way higher than any others I have seen and they have ...

If they do this right, it could end up as a real feather in the cap for Omaha and a useful tool for attracting young people. Omaha has a huge sports vacancy in the summer after the CWS and I think the USL could certainly find a market. For them to succeed however, I think they'd have to have a stadi...
