Re: Omaha Kababs (2101 N 120TH St.)

This has become one of our casual go-to restaurants since accidentally stumbling upon it maybe 2 years ago. They have a loyal and growing following, including many families. We have seldom dined there when small children weren’t occupying seats at other tables. Their kebabs are wonderful, and the co...

Re: The Joslyn Art Museum

The museum’s March newsletter contains news that their existing auditorium, dating to 1931, is receiving a full revamp, most notably with newer, wider seats. No doubt that is in “large” part due to the average circumference of the present day American derrière.

You know what would help alleviate overcrowding of the parking garages? Functional public transit to the airport. I'll keep dreaming of a non-stop spur of the streetcar out there, but failing that any decent bus service that operates all day long would be much appreciated. That’s exactly how we get...

The Tijuana international airport literally borders the California state line. Many if not most of its customers walk over the border before or after their flights.

In my time down here in Mexico people often ask where I’m from. When I say “Omaha, Nebraska” I’m surprised how many people from Canada and the U.S. respond: “Omaha. For some, being homeless is a temporary problem caused by sudden unemployment or a lack of funds. Shelters can and do provide a transitional place for these (often families with children) to live while they get back on their feet. Sadly for I think most homeless the cause is rooted in alcoholism, dr...
