I honestly never knew anybody kept track of that lol. I was playing around with it ...

As far as the "Few Exit Points", Only 3 per mile between the main intersections on main roads, that's what's allowed. Again, that's not zoning. I also believe that was an agreed upon number between several city, county, and state departments Yeah, they don't like full movement intersectio...

If they were gonna close it now, why not just go ahead and 4-lane it instead of having this exact same headache again in 10 years? I think it's mainly about cost. Douglas County has a lot of rural roads that need to be upgraded. 20 years ago, southwest Omaha was mostly (and still has a lot of) two ...

Re: 72nd & D St Bridge over the UPRR Construction
I think 72nd over the UP tracks should happen soon. That'll be a real nightmare. That needs an extra lane from EB I-80 to SB 72nd down to F. Merging is white-knuckle with the current bridge. There will be an additional lane added between I-80 and L street. Just an extra lane to F for now. They have...

Maybe someday when the I-80 bridge is in need of replacement, they'll design it to where they can straighten 132nd more. But that is probably many decades away. 132nd in this area is only considered a collector; not even a minor arterial. It's doubtful you'll ever see any major changes between Giles...

I'm surprised they aren't going to get this done before winter and will pause until spring. The road looks like it's fully paved with only work left on the sidewalks, medians, and traffic signals. Could certainly be more I'm not seeing, but they've been going to town on this the past few weeks. Figu...
