Not seeing how there is much room for residential use in that building, it's not all that big. Nevermind no windows above the first floor. Looks like a potential knockdown candidate, to be honest. Not sure what's behind the facade. For this  http://www.omahaevolution.com/Development/Images/l...

Some of the comments on that article are brutal. I'm afraid that even if the study does support streetcars, the outcry against them will be 10 times greater than the new baseball stadium. People who don't approve will always be louder. Â And the more foreign the issue the louder they will get. That...

And the pole so far is encouraging too. But why must this study take so long? Because the possible project is likely to cost over 1 billion dollars. There is a lot to study as well. Â Everything from how it would affect traffic patterns to the current and future housing market in the area. This on...

Downtown would be great, but other then that this is a great location. It's in the heart of an area with lots of young professionals and is within 2.5 miles of Creighton, UNO, and UNMC and their combined 25,000 students, both key customers for these types of facilities. Cool idea! Â Reminds me of ...

Has anyone noticed the CVS in Dundee has put large Historic Omaha Photos in their windows facing the Piano Building. I think those have been there for a little while. Â It is a nice touch. Has there been any progress on the 72nd and Maple one? Â I remember the leveraged that one against Omaha when ...

So the menu over at the Plume has changed drastically; lowered prices and fewer offerings. Is this just a matter of seasonal availability of ingredients or something more ominous? Anyone in the know? Sounds like a form of survival mode. Fewer options = lower overhead. And hopefully the lower pric...

Is it this bill: TIF loss could put crimp in growth A city tax incentive that has helped shape Omaha's skyline, boost major employers and develop popular shopping districts would be slowed, if not shut down, in the eastern part of the city under a legislative proposal. After reading the article this seems like it needs to happen and most likely will. UNMC is one of Omaha and Nebraska's best assets it would be wise to continue investment here. The state is taking care of a relatively small portion of the entire project considering the total cost. 1,200 jobs is a he...
