Re: The Old Market - Clean It Up or Keep it Quaint?
Spent time last weekend in the Haymarket in Lincoln and was impressed by the vibe, cleanliness, and effort that has gone into creating an area that combines old and new. Frankly I'd like to see some sprucing up of the Old Market infrastructure (sidewalks, etc) and thought this would be a good forum...

The W-H, to me, has come a long way.. From the times in the early 2000's when it became nearly a daily phenomenon of them minimizing Omaha as an actual city of importance, let alone gaffing on a few stories of a proposed highrise downtown.. As many know from back in the day, I was one of their bigg...

So a hypothetical DT timeline in a utopian Omaha. The library moves to the state building for a temp home before the end of 2016. Demo begins on the library early 2017, ground breaks on HDR's new HQ in summer 2017 on that site to be finished in 2020. Demo finishes at the Civic in late 2016 with an ...

I have kind of a weird idea. You could get rid of that stone cliff by Rick's and make it a pool with a beach. The 3 walls would be glass which would keep the water higher than the river and keep them separated.

Honestly I kind of expected it though. They pay people who work at the plant a ton. Most make over 60,000 per year.
