The IRS has computers that will eventually flag a balance paid late and automatically kick out a notice calculating penalties and interest. You can usually call or write in and tell them a sob story to get the penalties waived, but interest typically is non-negotiable unless you have proof of a time...

The filing deadline for 2020 individual tax returns was pushed back a month, but if a taxpayer is required to pay estimated taxes for the first quarter of 2021 income, then that money still needs to be sent by April 15th. W-2 earners mostly don't have to mess with estimates. It's your business owner...

144th and Hillsdale was the store that I trained at when I worked at Fantasy's. It was kind of a weird setup with the restaurant bay on the South side. The store they really need to level to the ground and rebuild is 156th and Harrison.

It's really sad. The design of the OWH had been top-tier for a long, long time -- but like with most things Lee Enterprises has touched at the paper, they've ruined it to save a buck. They've also cut about half the journalists and outsourced the paper design to Wisconsin. That's why you'll sometimes see different fonts being used on the same page.

The payment card I have on file with them expired this year. I'll probably just not update my billing info and let my online subscription lapse.

I'm all for supporting local journalism, but the quality of the newspaper has been steadily declining.

Minor nitpick, but the low bidder was West Central Sanitation out of Minnesota.

People who need extra trash bins only have to pay $91/year which is reasonable. Additional recycling bins are $45.50/year.

3300-5000 is in line with the bigger Tyson plants. Dakota Dunes according to the latest numbers I can find via Google is approximately 7000/day. Greater Omaha Packing website states that they can process 2.400 head a day. Doable, but why would someone build a new facility in the city unless an exist...

I don't think that there will be any situations like when they bought Kabredlo's in Lincoln. That chain had an existing store right across the street from another Casey's on 70th and Havelock, and Casey's operated at both locations until early last year.

Omaha is also pretty close logistically speaking to their two DCs in Kansas City. They might not need to stage as much product in Nebraska.

My season tickets were along the first base line at the corner of the end zone where the cheerleaders did their routine.

I consume their news product, so I don't mind paying for it. A small discount for paying in full up front would have been nice. Oh well, I guess I'm insulated from any price increases for the next year.

It might be a billing error, but the price for my annual online subscription jumped over 30% from last year. They're charging me full price as if I was paying monthly.

Edit: Customer service got back to me very quickly and confirmed that the price increase was legitimate.
