I've heard rumors that they are looking at about 1000 garage parking spaces, and 300,000SF of office. There are plans for on-site fitness, etc, so I don't know if the 300,000 number includes that or not.

This city loves it's studies. I would assume the companies hired would be entirely responsible for all this. You can't make a bid without knowing what the work will entail. Well, you can, but the price goes up with the risk (unknowns). A wise owner will have complete enough preliminary studies/repo...

Also, unless someone can produce news articles or police reports for two armed robberies...

The Research tower is nominally 10 floors, and the Clinical wing is nominally 8 floors, but there are stair core roofs above both, and the clinical side of the building has some additional levels for access to the Helideck.

This really does look like a perfect fit for the neighborhood.

The most efficient and attractive urban design has more dense development on the major streets, blending into single-family and other less dense development in the blocks away from it. This is a good example of how that can be done.

It's a large undertaking, but it sure doesn't seem like the city is in much of a hurry to get the site ready for new development. Especially since the civic has already been closed for 1 year! True. In the event of a national emergency, railroads would be one of the first assets to be commandeered by the government.
